She was not happy when her dragon landed in Nuduien. Her father came out at the same time. He knew something was wrong at the moment.
"What happened, Keya?" he asked.
"I got told to leave."
He sighed, wrapping his arms around her.
His rage broke beyound a boiling point, he had read the note three times everytime his anger rose. Hgot his armor and his close belonging and looked at Veer, "Tell the riders and men under my control. Veer nodded his massive golden head which was enraged as much as Glen was. Glenawing rode to the clearing and looke dat his men esembled, "Join me my friends and join Marcos with me, Gem has banished Keya for no reason and I will get revenge for this." three riders stepped foward and a few of his leutenints, "My lord we will fight with you till the death when do we leave?" Glenawing smiled, "Now." and Veer bounded off towards the King of the HUmans land.
“She said that others had noticed that Keya was sending messages to you, and that it was something she could not allow to stay happening, My King,” Velatha said, while her rider was unable to.
“I haven't heard from you in a long while, so clearly someone wanted you out of their city.” The human king sighed. “I guess now you both know why I feel the way I do towards the elves.”
“I can somewhat. One of them was rather kind.” Keya paused. “We became very fond... of each other. No doubt he'll be the one coming after me, I doubt he will be happy with Queen Gem right now.”
“What's his name?”
"General Uruohtar Glenawing Hawksong, rider of Veer.”
It was then one of the guards ran towards them. Bowing hastily he said, "A dragon is coming, my lord."
"What type?" Lindan Marcos asked.
"Male dawn dragon, aboutt he age of Velatha. Theya re not alone."
"i know who that likely is," Keya said. "Glenawing."
"Go," her father replied.
She nodded springing up easily into Velatha's saddle. Soon the pair wasflying in that direction to meet them.
Glenawing saw the castle and began his decent and he landed at the front gate and waited for Keya, this place brought back bad memories. He kept his hand on his blaade incase a human attacked him for no reason. Many gaurds looked afraid. Glenawing guessed some of those that lived recognized him. He began to pace around Impatiant waiting he anger was still at it's peak and he would't mind killing Marcos and his men and then going off to destroy Gem and Auraka himself.
He began to grind his teeth impatiantly and enraged still at what Gem had done.
"I doubt you could really do that, Glenawing," she said, coming out of the gates. Velatha chose to stay within the walls this time, though her eyes never left Keya now. "None will attack you, I've made sure of that, in what little time I've been back here."
She smiled a little. "My father knows pretty much everything now that I'm home. He may not like the elves in general, but he's willing to give you a chance at the least, thanks to something I said about you." Her eyes seemed to smiled as she looked at him.
He raised an eyebrow, "Who says will fight for your pitifull father after all the times his tried to get me killed, prisoned, I've come for you not for your father Keya." he paused, "You told him everything?" he was hoping she wouldn't have done that he may be angry with Gem but he didn't want his people to be destroyed. "Keya if your father knows our weaknesses he will anialate my people and aI don't want to see that happening."
"I love yes but I won't help your father take down all of my people I will fight but only to get revenge on Gem for what has done." he looked into the darkness seeing if he could make out her father, "Where is he I want to meet him?"
"I did not say you would fight or any of that. There is not enough I can tell him to do any damage really."
She smiled. "Don't worry, you're safe here. He's in the dragon area. I'll show you where to go." There were some places she knew he couldn't go, but when she was around him, he was completely safe.
Though now he was seeing a more formal side to her which had been hidden the whole time she was in Anthatal. Then again, she was the crown princess of the town they were in now.
He began to walk inside, the last time he walked in with a trail of dead bodies behind him. He looked around taking in his surroundings looking for any weaknesses, escape roots other faults . He looked at Keya, "So you grew up in these walls these walls wich have lead to the death and execution of many innocent lives." he loked around grimly thinking of all that he had lost in these walls, family and friends.
He paused as he saw Marcos his hand instictively going to his blade as a reaction from all of these years of fighting him.
"This is my home, though I know the things that have happened here. Once it's my turn though, those things won't happen, as much." She'd said it while they were out of her father's hearing range. "Try and be nice," she added in an undertone.
There was no chance she was going to let anything bad happen right now. She knew her father would not do anything, he loved her too much. He knew she had only returned because she'd been forced to. HE wouldn't cause her any more strife than what had already been.
"Hello, Glenawing," he said, as they reached them.
Glenawing
Glenawing grinned and looked at Marcos and laughed, "Marcos, this seems to be the first time we meet and were not about to kill each other." he walked around Marcos analyzing him seeing if he showed any motive of attack. He lookde at Keya and then at Marcos, "If you think you can defeat my people your wrong you've awaken a sleeping Giant and you will see the anger and rage of the elves and you will relise your mistake and defeating Gem won't be that easy." he looked at him seriously and then walked back next to Keya.
“I don't hurt those close to those of my family,” Lindan Marcos replied, ignoring his teasing, though not easily. “And I don't always hate elves when I meet them.”
It was true, who came out of the room next to them as he said it, one of the other pure elves. Ava Berilan herself. The only sister of Laura Berilan. She smiled as she moved to stand next to her husband. “I'm glad you're home again Keya, though I guess what my niece did to you was not the best of things.”
Keya shrugged. “It was going to happen eventually, I'm not angry with her any more. I knew I wouldn't be able to stay there forever, I had the feeling something was going to happen like that. Didn't say anything to anyone, seeing as I did not want to believe it.”
"Yet you tried to kill me countless of times Marcos and you even curropted my cousin to join you." he was trying to stay calm but it wasn't working though he may be Keya's father he still hated Marcos more then anything. His hand curled into fists and his voice began to raise with anger, "You lead my niece to belive her father had died a hero and when she found out her father had joined the enemy she was devestated Marcos!" he paused, "She said to me it would have been better if her father had died!" his voice was filled with rage now.
"I had nothing to do with that, far as I knew, Laura and Zelphar were dead. Thenm coming back is a bit of an issue for me as well. I thought they were dead. Else I'd likely have checked."
Keya sighed. Calm down, Glenawing, before you do something you might regret, she said in Glenawing's mind. You really don't want to anger him, though right now he seems to be besting you there. Please calm down.
Ava looked at Glenawing. "Mistakes can be made by anyone when it comes to that sort of thing. He already knew before you said it that my sister and brother-in-law are alive. He found out off of me."
He couldn't control his anger, "You do know Marcos and you planned to turn him to your side once you found about us inflitrating your pitiful city." his hand moved to his sword. He turned to Ava, "No I didn't make a mistake as I preformed his final rights with my own hands I saw his body hang from the gallows now tell me how I could have made a msitake you husband turned him away from his people and his family." he drew his sword, "You don't deserve death for what you have done you deserve to suffer for eternity."
The great blue head of the dusk dragon behind Lindan Marcos rose now. "If we really deserve what ou say we do, then wait for that other dragon rider to deal with us. I daresay she'd be angry if her pathetic Sun Dragon didn't get to kill me." The dragon snorted, he was not in the least bit worried.
Keya knew that things were going to get ugly somehow if she didn't get in the way this time. Sighing, because she really didn't want to, though she knew he would never hurt her, she moved to stand between her father and Glenawing. "I don't think you're going to be able to hurt him without having to go through me, Glenawing," she said softly.
There was no chance he would ever hurt her. They were getting too close to one another. Please calm down."
